Day-by-Day happenings:

Day 01

Arrival Day – LET’S LEARN TO RIDE HORSES AND FLY FISH!

Highlights

  • Fly into Missoula Montana Airport (MSO) arriving no later than 1pm to head to the ranch: Famous Rich’s Dude Ranch!
    • Meet 18 amazing like-minded people from all over the USA!
    • Upon arrival at the ranch, get room assignments and freshen up.
    • Meet your horse and guides for the week and tour the property.
    • BBQ Dinner served family style at the main lodge.
    • After dinner bonfire songs and s’mores.1 pm
  • We really do mean “All-inclusive” Unlimited beer, wine, juices, and sodas are provided.”   

Day 02

Riding 101 and A Visit to a Ghost Town 

Highlights

  • Breakfast fit for a Cowboy!  Early AM coffee walk taking in all that is Montana!
  • Meet your horse – Riders stick with the same horse throughout the entire week, creating a personal connection with “your horse.”
  • Riding 101 – Learn to saddle your horse (and get up on her).
  • We will be splitting into 2 or 3 groups from beginners to advanced riders.
  • 2 hour trail ride, nice and easy getting to know your horse.
  • Lunch at the Ranch – lots of fresh produce
  • After lunch we will head into Garnet, the state’s best preserved ghost town. Dating to 1895, Garnet is a historic gold and silver mining enclave located on First Chance Creek.
  • We’ll return to the ranch for dinner.
  • Grab your horse and get ready for a horse-drawn wagon experience.
  • Hit the hay early or sit by the bonfire with a glass of wine or cider.

Day 03 

All-day or half-day ride – afternoon swimming, boating, and fishing. 

Highlights

  • Early-riser coffee in hand sunrise walk
  • Hearty Breakfast to get the day started
  • ITS YOUR VACATION YOU CHOOSE – it’s ok to just relax any time you want.  Curl up with a good book while glancing up at the mountainside, go hiking or fly fishing anytime you desire.
  • Saddle up for an all-day ride, packing a picnic to eat along the trail – stopping for scenic photo-ops
  • 1/2 day riders grab lunch at the ranch and head to the pristine Montana crystal blue waters for swimming and boating (and a few cold beverages).
  • BFF-style dinner at the ranch
  • Grab a cozy blanket and we’ll watch an outdoor movie with popcorn, candy and tasty cold beverages.

Day 04

 Cottonwood Camp Breakfast Ride and Cook Own Steak 

Highlights

  • Saddle up for a Cottonwood Camp breakfast ride, cooking breakfast along the trail.
  • Nothing better than eating under the BIG SKY with your horse and new friends.
  • YOUR VACATION YOU CHOOSE – PM horse back ride or Seeley Lake Tour – Wildlife viewing and stopping to visit local shops.
  • Seeley Lake, flanked by the Mission and Swan mountain ranges, is situated on one of Montana’s most scenic drives, Hwy 83.
  • Cook your own steak BBQ Dinner
  • Campfire and Entertainment (cowboys and gaiters)

Day 05 

Ride, Fish, Bike, Swim or Read a Book.

Highlights

  • Cowboy breakfast and AM sunrise walk
  • By now we should be familiar and in love with our horse so we will take a bit of a longer AM ride.
  • Lunch at the ranch THIS IS YOUR VACATION – RIDE, RELAX, SWIM, READ or GO FISHING
  • Learn to fly fish or simply watch the river run by. You never know what you may see.
  • Group hike to spot wild flowers and wildlife – photo opps everywhere.
  • Cowboy chuck Wagon Dinner
  • CAMPFIRE S’MORES and NEW FRIENDS

Day 06

Cottonwood Camp Lunch Ride and Ice Cream!

Highlights

  • Early AM short coffee hike – or SLEEP IN
  • 10AM Cottonwood Trail Lunch Ride – Make lunch along the trail!
  • Ovando Ice Cream at Blackfoot Company while taking a Wildlife Car Tour
  • Located in the historical downtown of Ovando, Montana, the Blackfoot Commercial Company has been around since 1897. It has many features, including a Convenience Store with old fashion scoop ice cream, espresso bar, propane, gas station, and fresh fruit and vegetables when in season.
  • Cowboy dinner at the ranch.  With special local wine tasting
  • CAMPFIRE Following Dinner

Day 07 

Group Breakfast and Final Goodbye to New Friends!

  • Short Moring walk and saying goodbye to your horse.
  • Breakfast at the ranch with until-we-meet-again new friends!
  • Airport Departures – Flights no earlier than 1PM.

Airport Pick Up is included when arriving at the designated airport within the specified pick up window. If you are driving, we will providing address upon booking. Or you can meet the group at the airport.

Step 2 Your $250 Deposit will be processed within 2 business days
Step 3 When you are ready to make a payment, click the “Review and Pay” button on your invoice
Step 4 Once clicked, in the top left of the invoice, next to the amount, you will see “Edit Amount.” Here you will be able to enter the amount you would like to pay
Step 5 Full amount needs to be paid by 60 days prior to the trip. *If there is a remaining balance at 60 days prior to the trip then an automatic payment for the remaining amount will be charged.
